Dolly Garinyi Hostel

The Dolly Garinyi Hostel was opened in 1997, providing supported accommodation in purpose-built client accommodation units. These units are able to accommodate up to 30 clients in a semi-bush setting for people participating in CAAPS programs. All accommodation is fully self-contained, air conditioned and complete with a toilet and shower ensuite.

Clients are encouraged to be self sufficient whilst in the Residential Programs.  They are provided with nutritious food to cook in their own kitchens and are expected to keep their units and the grounds clean and tidy, and also to attend to their own laundry needs.

The Culture Block is a place in CAAPS where clients can reconnect to their traditional land while staying in the accommodation units. The Block is a large space of bushland with a walking path showcasing native bush tucker, flora and fauna.

The Hostel has competent overnight and after hours support workers who help provide a safe, alcohol and other drug-free environment.
