May Recognition Events 2021

CAAPS Aboriginal Corporation won TWO AOD Industry awards on the 18th of May!

CAAPS is very excited and proud to share that we received acknowledgement from our peers at the inaugural Association of Alcohol and Other Drug Agencies NT AOD Sector Awards event night.

CAAPS Healthy Families residential rehabilitation program won the ‘Excellence in Indigenous AOD Programs’ award. This award was presented for showing innovation, excellence and contribution to the health and safety of the community. The award was sponsored by Australian Indigenous HealthInfoNet.

In addition to this, our team member Anupa Mathew won the ‘Outstanding Contribution to Youth AOD’ award for the Youth Worker demonstrating commitment, perseverance, and dedication to AOD treatment. This award was sponsored by the Industry Skills Advisory Council NT.

We also would like to share our work at the AADANT Conference 2021 – Diversify & Adapt.

Thank you to Peter Burnheim and the team at Association of Alcohol and Other Drug Agencies NT; Katie, Carli and Britt, for providing an excellent program highlighting how our services in the NT are able to diversify & adapt to the changing environment where we live and work.

Among the presenters were CAAPS staff Ric & Chrissy who presented on our recently launched Youth Services programs.
