CAAPS Family Support Service in the Greater Darwin Region.
The Family Support Service provides support and assistance to families to keep their children safe, reunify children in care with their birth family and support pregnant mothers to grow up healthy and safe children. Families are supported to build relationships, strengthen parenting skills, maintain a safe home environment for their children and increase their participation within community.
The Darwin Family Support Service is delivered by CAAPS.
The service is based at the CAAPS Berrimah site and delivered by experienced and compassionate staff from CAAPS.
The family support services prioritise a strengths-based, practical approach that extends into both in-home and community-based support. With a commitment to a place-based and culturally connected framework, these services strive to maintain and strengthen connections to the community’s land, culture, and kinship networks.
