Celebrating years of service with Aboriginal Interpreter Service, Department of Chief Minister and Cabinet

CAAPS Aboriginal Corporation and Aboriginal Interpreter Service, Department of Chief Minister and Cabinet, celebrated years of working together today! We strengthened our working relationship by launching our Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).

AIS staff led by Curtis Roman and including interpreters Miriam and Sylvia, attended CAAPS to celebrate the launch today.

CAAPS look forward to working more closely with the AIS to further ensure cultural safety for our clients, and confidence in the knowledge they are fully informed when making choices.

AIS are also excited about partnering with CAAPS for the MoU, recognising CAAPS reputation as a solid and long standing Aboriginal Corporation advocating for First Nations people.

As part of this MoU, AIS will provide recording services, along with ‘Working with an Interpreter’ training for CAAPS staff.

CAAPS will assist AIS with the recruitment of casual interpreters, by promoting this opportunity throughout our community networks.

We look forward to working together to support our community.
