Darrandirra Launch

We were excited to introduce Darrandirra (Darra-in-dirra) – The Northern Suburbs Child and Family Centre, on the 20th of April, 2021. Darrandirra was named by the Larrakia people, the custodians of the land where we live and work.

Darrandirra, meaning “All of Us”, will be a space for all children, youth, and families living in the Northern Suburbs.

In collaboration with local service providers, and in line with needs identified by you (the local community), we aim to improve access to a range of flexible outreach services along with place-based programs and activities to help promote child and family well being.

All programs and activities will be child and family-focused, safe, fun, and sensitive to cultural diversity.

Our “no wrong door” approach means that no matter what support you require, or what service you are already connected with, you can still be supported through Darrandirra.

Our service launched yesterday – thank you to Minister Lauren Moss and Speaker of the House Ngaree Ah Kit for their words of encouragement. The Darrandirra team are available to support you now!

Darrandirra will be located in Malak, whilst the site is being developed the Darrandirra team are able to assist you on an outreach basis – meaning we can come and meet you at an agreed location in the Northern Suburbs.

Reach out to the Darrandirra team for support now, we are here to help: www.caaps.org.au/darrandirra
